		<description>One year I went entirely paperless in a high school Computer Technology class using Moodle for student discussions and announcements; Moodle for assessment module that allowed me to design quizzes and tests in multiple formats, graded online; Mahara ePortfolio module (designed by educators for educators). The Mahara software allowed me to digitally upload documents/resources/curriculum that I wished students to read and highlight, comment on. Mahara also allows students to design their own personalized ePortfolio page, complete with attachments to digital images they created and papers they had written.
I found that as a teacher/facilitator, I still needed to show the students how to effectively use tools such as Powerpoint, Word, Excel. This was done with each of them working on their own document, and reproducing results that I was showing them by projecting my screen onto the wall. They all had unique perspectives on &quot;what makes a presentation effective&quot; although some conclusions could easily be manipulated into the conversation.
I hadn&#039;t heard of  Diigo before reading about your experience. I definitely will check it out. Good luck!</description>

It is liberating to turn to my students when a question comes up that I can&#039;t answer - and we research it... when I can turn it back on them and encourage them to be the expert.
